My friend and I decided to go out and eat for breakfast. He mentioned this place and I told him I have never been there, he said me neither. So that's where we ended up going. Driving there the place can be easy to miss I guess or it does not really pop out since it is just along Monterey road. Pulling in, the parking lot is located behind the place you go through like a weird one way lane, but there is plenty of space in the back. Boy when we walked in there I was not expecting that much people! The place is kind of small, but it is not a bad thing. I kind of liked the way it looked, nothing crazy just a good ol diner. The name does kind of throw you off I guess since it is, "Southern Kitchen". I wouldn't say it's southern food exactly, but still I personally liked the food. I would totally go back to this place!

The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. I had the corned beef hash and eggs with grits and pancakes with blueberry topping. I completely enjoyed all of my food, and the portions are generous. Definitely try this place out for some wonderful breakfast food!

Scrambled eggs were really bland even with onion mushrooms and spinach. Coffee was not very good either. It needed the French vanilla creamer to cover the taste. The bathroom is exactly like a truck stop bathroom covered in graffiti and dirty. Service is excellent though and servers are friendly. Coffee flowed continuously. The food came out of the kitchen really fast. Portions were large too. Definitely some room for improvement.
